Hi Neil…. Just want to say how lovely it was to meet you when you were here in Australia. Thank you so much for taking the time to pose for photos and chat with us after the Tamworth show. You guys were so friendly and polite, I feel very privileged to have met you all.
Now to pose my question to you once again, you said you hadn’t tried it yet but to ask you again later in the tour but I never got the chance. So did you finally get the courage to try that Kangaroo Steak after all?

Hello Neil,
It was a PLEASURE meeting you yesterday in Atlanta at the meet and greet, as well as the gig at Mac McGee’s. I honestly felt like a 16 year old girl going on her first date. LOL You guys were absolutely amazing and YOU MADE MY NIGHT! You are so full of charm and talent, I can see why you have so many admirers.
Of course I am including myself in that category.
Thank you so much for singing Truador, one of my all time favorites of yours. Sadie Jones was a treat to see performed acoustically and of course Past the point of Rescue (thats how I felt – Lol) was incredible. You and Ryan ROCKED together and individually. If you couldn’t tell I loved everything about last night except that I acted like a dork… but I am who I am.

I’m glad you finally got to your post box I sure hope you get my card along with the letter and the picture my brother took that night at Fox Theater in Detroit. It really was a great night. I’m a social network junkie so I’m always sending replies and posting comments to all your tweets. Sure hope you feel great it sucks being sick. Yesterday I went to a friend’s house for a party and when I came home all I did was sneeze continuously. I’d not been around a cat in a long time so my cat allergies came back to bit me in the nose. I hate being sick it just sucks all the life out of you but when you feel better you could climb a mountain or at least bike one. Hope your post box contains lots of lovely surprises. You really are one great guy.

Just wanted to tell you again how much I’m enjoying “Pale Blue Jak”. I have a long commute to and from work…..up to one and a half hours each way….and now I’m sorry when it ends! I listen to your music endlessly…..and even when I can’t it’s playing in my head. I’m adding new speakers to my work computer just so I can listen at my desk………I’m hopelessly addicted and loving it. Hello Neil,
So you asked us, your fans, what was our favorite song (s) on your album Faces. I didn’t want to rush into having a favorite just for the sake of having one, so I decided to listen to the whole album for a week or so.
I found myself wanting to listen to My parade (love it…. makes me want to get up and move
), Paperboy, Candlestick and A life I Once Had over and over again, so I would have to say these 4 are my favs!
The album is great and is nothing like I have ever heard before. Which is a good thing! Great job! Thank you for sharing your talents with us.

First and Foremost, the concert in Atlanta this past Saturday was everything I had hoped for! It was an amazing show. I have seen 4 shows live and I promise that the CT concerts are getting better and better and better. Each and everyone of the CT guys are true entertainers and very fun to watch!
Neil, in one of your older post you had mentioned concerns about losing your identity becoming one of the front guys for CT. After seeing your perform with such grace and style on Saturday I believe you know exactly who you are and what you are capable of!!!!! With your hypnotic appeal, you had complete control of the audience during your solo performances. The crowd LOVED YOU!
With your talent(s) and confidence there is no doubt that you are and always will be a very respected musician. You are the master of your own fate! Keep believing and keep shining!

LOVE LOVE LOVE “Faces”!!! Yet another amazing success from my beloved Guitar God! While I guess it is technically a pop album, the music is anything but, as your songwriting talents are as diverse as the many instruments you play! Each song has a completely unique vibe, as you expresse your innermost thoughts and feelings in song.
To say I am proud of you would be an understatement. I am just thrilled at this latest accomplishment in what is surely just the beginning of many more albums to come!

Neil, the shows in Charlotte and Cherokee, NC were fantastic! I loved every minute, but I think my favorite minute was when you picked up the guitar the first time. Neil with a guitar… life is good.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m *loving* seeing you out front and hearing that voice of yours. Past the Point of Rescue has now become my favorite song. Hope we get to hear it on a CD.

It’s great that you are having so much fun on tour!! Like everyone, I’m anxiously waiting to hear that your CD is ready for purchase!! What about a calendar?! I know your supporters would love it!! A friend just got me the CT calendar for one simple reason: “MAY”. She was absolutely right. That is the best picture of you that I have ever seen (with one exception – a photo my gran took of you a few years ago…you remember).

Neil, so looking forward to the new cd coming out. I can’t believe you got it done in the amount of time you did. I have kids a couple of years older than you and 3 grandchildren, but love your music and have since the 1st yr I saw you in Kansas City with CT. Love to meet you and show you around Kansas City when you’re here, but having traveled with a band of my own for many years, (in my youth) I know that sometimes you have time, sometimes you don’t. So excited you are coming back Oct. 18th. Although I’m usually saving to go and visit my daughter and granddaughters in Germany, where my daughter is an Army Combat Medic, I splurged to buy tickets for myself and 2 friends who have never seen you. Sec 103 Row 9. (I’ll be sportin’ a Neil Byrne shirt for sure!) Excited to be up closer this time! Keep writing your music and we’ll keep listening. First the rhetorical question: Do either you or your charming manager (Hi John!) realize how many hard copies you could sell if you would re-release Hipple Street? Just think about it – you have a brand new fan base in the states that is ready to eat up absolutely ANYTHING you release (Remember gargling in the bath? I’d even buy that!)
Now to the legitimate question: Would it be practical (or even possible) to re-release the Hipple Street CDs for your new fans who didn’t know you in Ireland when Hipple Street was a reality?
By the way, hearty congratulations on finishing the album. I can’t wait to hear it. I’ll be first in line! Time for that mini-break me thinks.

With all this techie stuff I feel like you’ve been a friend of our family forever but unfortunately unlike alot of your other fans, we haven’t met you yet. Mr Neil loved the chat but you said something that made me think of a commercial this lady was asking these 2 sharks (with a bit of blood on their lips ) which person tasted better both sharks agreed the boy did the lady said that is because he just eat a SNICKERS with peanut butter filling warning do not eat one when near the water or on the boat with Keith (he may push you over after he gives you a snickers) and the fish would think you would make a good snack

Congratulations on moving up within CT, but I do agree don’t get to far from your guitar. I had the privilege of meeting you in LA on the lasttour. I was so taken with what a nice man you are, and I loved the first few tracks you had done my fav was Sadie Jones and I yes they should incorporate that into the show.
Alas I am still trying to wrap my thoughts around Ryan’s leaving, I only hope that it is just for a little while. I t is so amazing to see you all perform as a group and yet each and every one of you is so very talented in your own right

I am so excited for this, I am so glad you are going to get this spot, If you ask me you should have gotten it when Paul left, but that’s for another day. I am saddened that we are losing another member within 1 year of the other, but I think on the bright side… WE GET MORE NEIL!!!
I feel like the others, I hope that you don’t have to lay the guitar down completely, I hope that you do get a chance to play more than Keith does now.
But what about the other things, ie your drum part in “Heartland” & etc. now you will be ‘on stage’ with the other guys, and probably not able to play your drums. ohh, I hope this is really a good thing, I think of it like this though, we get more Neil and no new understudy!

let me add that you harmonize beautifully. I don’t know many people who realize how much backing vocals contribute to a song. Listening to earlier Celtic Thunder CDs, as well as a surprisingly pleasant delight of a find at a used music shop in Cork City yesterday, tells me your voice blends spectacularly with anyone’s music. Good BVs make the song for me most of the time and yours…well…they’re just the best I’ve heard. Alright, sycophantic tirade over.

I know…I know always onto bigger and better things. But regardless of that philosophy and how much I love your solo stuff, I can’t help but still miss Hipple Street. I thought after you released Sensitive Souls I would be content to leave HS on a back burner to be played now and again but that hasn’t been the case. HS is fun and energetic and in a totally different league from SS. No one could ever accuse you of having a specific style that defines you as a musician. I like that about you allot. I’ve said it before…you are talented enough and versatile enough to play any musical genre successfully. I’m sure your next solo effort will prove that even more.

Wanted to let you know that as of November 2010, at the Atlanta show you made yet another life long fan. My niece and I had second row ( we were holding a sign that said, Girls Dig Men In Kilts) you were one of the first on stage, your drums were right in front of us. I couldn’t keep my eyes off of you. I think I missed half the show…. lol
I read somewhere, I believe on CT website that the Bee Gee’s, among many other artist have had some influence on you musically . I’ll be honest with you – “My Girl” has never been my favorite song, not by the Temptations nor by you. It’s not a bad rendition, just not your best. I’m laughing here though because even as I write these words I find the song is still going round and round in my head. I catch myself singing it throughout the day. Ironically enough, I guess that is a sign of a good song nonetheless so you must have done something right with it. ; )
Regardless, you still have a lot to answer for. Not only do you have “My Girl” running through my head like a rabid Chihuahua but you also have me singing a song that I haven’t sung for DECADES! People are questioning my sanity more than normal what with “Postman Pat” rambling through their homes.

Okay, first things first. You’re absolutely AMAZING! My mom brought home the Celtic Thunder Christmas dvd and when you started singing I immediately fell in love with your voice. You have such a great voice. Plus, the way you carry yourself when you’re singing on stage tells a lot. You can tell that you enjoy what you do. I hope you keep doing it too. Loved the Rochester & Binghamton shows. Really a downer not to have you doing an equal time front and center. Keep hoping and waiting. I loved the fact that you did Ireland’s Call with the rest of the guys. I was really puzzled when you left the stage and the guitar tech stepped in for you. But loved seeing you come out for Ireland’s Call. So busy watching you, that I totally missed Paul raising his kilt for the last time. Did catch Keith raising yours. I am so glad for all of you getting home to family and friends for the holiday, but so disappointed that it is another 9 months for the next show.
Hope our PBS station has you guys come this year, they don’t do pledge breaks. Just ask for money at the beginning and end of the show. May have to see about going out of area to see you guys in the spring

Can’t belive end of tour is hear already! Glad I go tot see you in concert one more time before the end; Providence was so worth the 5hr round trip and lack of sleep! Great concert; out of the 4 I have seen I would say this one was right up there with my first ever CT concert. Thank you agian for all you do! Last night in Rochester was wonderful and I am so glad I was able to show you my official Neil Byrne tote bag from the stage- I sill gasp at Hallelujah and become a bit teary with When You Wish Upon a Star. Hey Sunshine,
I’m sure you’ll be very happy to take off the traveling boots, get home to family and friends and lead a normal life for awhile. It’s been a long tour and some hard slog but hopefully it’s had its rewards for you as well. Just think, no more room service and eating out. Soon you’ll be back to beans on toast, burnt fish and chips and the odd edible curry. Hmmm…maybe a longer tour doesn’t sound so bad after all, huh?

With the news of Paul’s departure I might just have to take advantage of a ticket I received anonymously for the final show. I missed the show in Denver but can’t miss this tour entirely and ruin my CT attendance record! I love the Christmas CD and look forward to seeing it live, especially “When You Wish Upon A Star” – the most beautiful rendition I’ve EVER heard.

Thanksgiving Day starts with turkey in the oven and us off to mass. Then we go to my mom’s- i make the turkey, stuffing, pies, potatoes and gravy and she does the other stuff. We eat early so as to enjoy the rest of the day and go through the ads for shopping. I, like you , have to work today- but my daughter has shopping plans.

well- my favorite song from the EP- very hard to choose! I love the bluesy sound of Sadie Jones- almost jazz- like in parts and thanks to the snippets you have given us, I see you in those clothes on the bike. Raoul and Her Ladyship- is so dreamy and I love the harmony- and the percussion is stiking. Truador- love the title- and the romanticism of the melody and words. I see a special close night between a couple- circling each other till they decide to commit to love each other. Cherish is covered so well by you- it would be lovely to have a newlywed couple use as their first dance at their wedding. The intensity just builds so perfectly.

I see a problem with the long sleeve jersey I want…ya can’t see the logo on the darker colors. Your new website is fantastic! I remember seeing you perform at Shea’s with Celtic Thunder 2 years ago and how entertaining you were especially on the drums. I should have known then that you would be up front singing with the other lads. You were so nice taking time with fans after the Bflo show this year. I’m hoping my boys get to meet you after the show in Erie. They love music and constantly put on drum performances for the family. Rock on!

Neil, Love your website. It is really well done. Went shapping there this afternoon, I was suppose to be grading papers, but shoppping won. Bought all that will fit me. Thanks for thinking of those of us that need larger sizes. Did my 3 shows in 3 weeks, now have to wait till Rochester and Binghamton at the end of the tour. I still say the same thing I told you in Buffalo — the only thing wrong with It’s Entertainment is you do not get solos. I am really waiting till you get equal time front and center.
Thank you again for being so sweet to me after Buffalo and Philadelphia. After a six hour ride, it really made me so much happier. Hopefully some time I can really get a chance to talk with you. Maybe M & M in Rochester.

i know it is non of my business are you Mr Neils school friends sometimes the people that run things for stars are good friends and family that is super just wondering you are doing a super job have a great week and Mr Neil Saturday baking for a flea market cookies,cupcakes mom made buffalo stew and cody’s potato soup for the grange flea market more baking and i need skip school i do computer have a hard time remembering things thank the Lord for the little red line i fell 11 fet and cracked my head so have a bit of a time rembering things but that is ok i’m 17 and a senior but really 8 and 9 th grade level well will stop bugging you will be happy for q and a want to find out if Mr Neil has favorite cologen so i can save up for codys b-day he will be 25 this year well have a super day Admin
