Hotpress Review – Sensitive Souls
Dec 6th
“Wicklow’s Neil Byrne’s debut solo EP Sensitive Souls shows him as a classy singer of soulful pop. ‘Sadie Jones and I’ has a Philly soul vibe, classy production and a smooth vocal performance on a tasty soul-pop number. ‘Raoul and Her Ladyship’ features impeccable layered vocals, lavish strings and Byrne’s voice doing all the right things. ‘Truador’ has a bossa-lite beat, delicate acoustic guitar and croonsome backing vocals. Byrne’s work is admirably done and clearly aimed at a quality pop market”

Sadie Jones and I – Map
Oct 28th
We decided early on to base the video around the fishing village of Howth, County Dublin for a number of reasons.
We had a look around the National Transport Museum and spotted a CIE Leyland Titan PD2 Bolton Bus R389, constructed in 1948 and used extensively around the streets of Dublin in the 1950s. Having gained permission, we took some test photos.
Here is the National Transport Museum’s website:
www.nationaltransportmuseum.org/
We then needed costumes. We contact the National Theatre of Ireland – The Abbey Theatre. They were very kind and loaned us a large number of items, including most of the beautiful 1950s style clothing Melissa wore.
Here is a photo of one of their amazing hats:
You can read all about the history of the Abbey Theatre here:

For every photo that was used in the video, there were many that were not, for example this one:
Wonder why not?!?!?
I hope you agree that the scenery is beautiful. Here is a map with the main locations marked. You have the option to simply view them as map locations, satellite view and for some of the locations, you can even see them from “Street View” level.

We really enjoyed making it and really hope that you enjoy watching it too
